This document describes the contents of version 6.13 of the ENDF Utility Codes. This release supercedes all previous releases. It corrects all bugs reported to NNDC as of May 1, 2002. There are PostScript files as follows
| ENDF_UTIL6P13_DIST.PS | contains the release cover memo, |
| ENDF_UTIL6P13.PS | contains the user documentation. |
The Web and anonymous FTP distributions also have PDF versions of these to documents (ENDF_UTIL6P13_DIST.PDF and ENDF_UTIL6P13.PDF).
All programs have been tested on OpenVMS, Linux, and Windows operating systems. They all have interactive interfaces for supplying required program input. Five programs, CHECKR, FIZCON, PSYCHE, STANEF, and INTER have both command line and graphical interfaces for Linux and Windows. Only a command line version exists for the OpenVMS version of these programs. The batch mode version (ANS) fully meet FORTRAN 95 standards. Source code for the other versions of each program can be derived from the ANS version by using the SETMDC program. The remaining four programs, GETMAT, LISTEF, PLOTEF and SETMDC have only batch or command line versions.
The programs, CHECKR, FIZCON, PSYCHE, STANEF and INTER have been revised to take advantage of the new features of FORTRAN 95. In the case of the other four programs, the FORTRAN 95 standard has been met by removing discontinued or obsolete features of FORTRAN 77.
There is one directory for each ENDF Utility program. Within each directory is a ZIP file with a three material test case and output with the following exceptions. There are no test cases for GETMAT and SETMDC and there is only a two material test case for PLOTEF. There is a directory for each operating system/interface version of the utility code as follows:
| ANS | - | FORTRAN 95 compliant batch mode interface. Source code only. |
| VMS | - | OpenVms command line interface. Source and executable code. |
| WIN | - | Windows 95, 98 and 2000 command line interface. Source and executable code. |
| UNX | - | Unix and Linux command line interface. Source and executable code. |
| DVF | - | Windows graphical interface using Digital Visual Fortran Self-extracting ZIP to C:\Program Files\ENDF\'program_name' with executable, help file and help file table of contents. |
| LWI | - | Unix graphical interface using the Lahey FORTRAN 95 compiler
with Winteracter. Executable and help file (.htm). |
