The UNIX version of PREPRO2015 comes with FORTRAN source codes, in compressed form. 1) Copy UNIX.tar.gz to your hard drive. First uncompress and untar. After installation you should have a directory named PREPRO15 that contains all of the files you will need; you can delete UNIX.tar.gz 2) This system comes with batch files to compile and load all of the codes. Execute the batch file for your type of computer, e.g., IBMPC.BAT, LINUX.BAT, MAC-OSX.BAT, etc. This could take between 5 and 45 minutes to complete, depending on the speed of your computer. If the codes EVALPLOT and COMPLOT fail to compile and load then you may need to change the path in the Makefile to the directory that contains your X-Windows routines, i.e. /usr/lib/X11 3) If all of the codes compile you should have a total of 20 executables - 16 in the directory SOURCES, 2 in the directory SOURCES/COMPLOT and 2 in the directory SOURCES/EVALPLOT. Copy or move all 20 executables to the UNIX directory - you should then have 43 files in your UNIX directory. 4) To VERIFY proper installation, it is recommended that after installation you execute VERIFY.BAT. This is a batch file that will run the codes in sequence. The final two codes will display the calculated cross sections (EVALPLOT), and compare the results you calculated to a standard set of results (COMPLOT). Difference of about 1 % to 2% are acceptable; larger differences indicate an installation problem. 5) If you have any problems notify the Nuclear Data Section, IAEA, Vienna, Austria. services@iaeand.iaea.or.at
