Workshop on Processing of Application Libraries for Monte Carlo Transport Calculations

12-16 September 2005, Vienna, Austria

Local organiser: Andrej Trkov

Objectives

The objectives are to train participants to use nuclear data processing codes to generate application libraries for Monte Carlo transport calculations, and to study and discuss library verification and validation. As specific objective, data processing for the MCNP family of codes and for TRIPOLI will be considered. Preparation of photon and charged particle libraries for MCNPX will be included.

The workshop is NOT a training course on running Monte Carlo codes but on generating application libraries for such codes. It is primarily intended for participants who already have some experience in data processing and running Monte Carlo codes.

About 10 participants are expected to attend the workshop. Some support for participants from developing countries will be provided by the IAEA. Considering the limited resources, selection criteria for participants will be their references on relevant current activities. Age limit for applicants is 45 years. Download the Application Form.
