Nuclear Data Section EMPIRE Workshop
Modelling and Evaluating Nuclear Reaction Data for Energy and Non-energy Applications
2-6 December 2013, IAEA HQ, Vienna, Austria
The Workshop constitutes an opportunity for nuclear scientists to gain extensive
and up-to-date training on the use and understanding of the
EMPIRE code for nuclear reaction
modelling and nuclear data evaluations. Both neutron and charged-particle
induced reactions will be covered addressing data needs for energy and non-energy
applications (e.g. theoretical modelling of medical isotope production cross sections).
- Lecturers:
M. W. Herman (Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA), M. Sin (University of Bucharest, Romania),
B.V. Carlson (ITA, Brazil), A. Trkov (Jozef Stefan Institute, Slovenia), V. Zerkin (IAEA),
R. Capote (IAEA)
- Required background for participation:
University degree in Nuclear Physics or Nuclear Engineering.
Experience in calculations with nuclear modelling codes highly desirable.
- Application: Please send an email with your summary CV including relevant publication list to
K. Nathani
- Application deadline: 31 August 2013
