Spins of resonances, which were not iden- 5728 1451 21 tified, have been assigned by taking into account 2*J+1 law and 5728 1451 22 approximate linear growth of the number of levels with given spin 5728 1451 23 and parity from energy. Average gamma-widths 0.055 eV (L=0) and 5728 1451 24 0.04 eV (L=1) were assigned to those resonances , widths for 5728 1451 25 which were absent. Fictitious P-resonances were added in the 5728 1451 26 energy region (3 - 20) keV to obtain the average capture cross 5728 1451 27 section values observed in the experiments [3],[4],[5]. 5728 1451 28 5728 1451 29 2. Unresolved Resonance Region (URR) 5728 1451 30 Unresolved resonance parameters in the region 20 keV - 160 keV 5728 1451 31 were evaluated by using 'EVPAR' code (Hauser-Feshbach-Moldauer 5728 1451 32 statistical model) [6]. URR parameters were calculated from opti- 5728 1451 33 mized fit to the measured capture [4,5] and total cross section 5728 1451 34 [7,8,9] data. Average resolved resonance parameters have been 5728 1451 35 used as zero approximation. Contribution of F-wave in the energy 5728 1451 36 interval 60 - 160 keV given as smoothed background cross section 5728 1451 37 in File 3. 5728 1451 38 5728 1451 39 ----- MF=3 MT=102 ----- 5728 1451 40 5728 1451 41 Capture cross sections from 1.0E-5 eV to 160 keV are reconst- 5728 1451 42 ructed from evaluated MLBW resolved and unresolved resonance pa- 5728 1451 43 rameters. Small background was added in RRR for taking into 5728 1451 44 account non-statistical reaction mechanism contribution. Contri- 5728 1451 45 bution of F-wave in the energy interval (60 - 160) keV was added 5728 1451 46 as described above. 5728 1451 47 Data base for the evaluation La-139(n,g)La-140 excitation func-5728 1451 48 tion in the neutron energy range 160 keV - 20 MeV was formed from 5728 1451 49 microscopic experimental data [4-5], [10-28] and data received 5728 1451 50 from theoretical model calculations. Experimental data [4], [10], 5728 1451 51 [12-18], [20-22], [27-28] were corrected to the new standards.5728 1451 52 Uncertainties for cross section data measured by Johnsrud et al.5728 1451 53 [13] were evaluated between +-(16-19)%. Theoretical model calcula-5728 1451 54 tions was done by means of GNASH code [29]. New modified version 5728 1451 55 of GNASH was utilized for calculations [30]. Data from theoreti-5728 1451 56 cal model calculation were dominant in the neutron energy range 5728 1451 57 3.5 - 20 MeV. 5728 1451 58 The evaluation La-139(n,g)La-140 excitation function in the 5728 1451 59 energy range above 160 keV has been carried out within the frame- 5728 1451 60 work of generalized least squares method , rational function was 5728 1451 61 used as model function [31].
