               Double-humped fission barrier heights
 (Revised Obninsk file, obtained from V. Maslov, 30 October 1997)

Contents
--------
Double-humped fission barrier heights were obtained from experimental 
data on fission cross sections or fission probabilities [1]. Claimed 
uncertainty of 0.3 MeV is rather large, so these barrier heights should 
be viewed as a guide for selection of the initial parameters for the
RIPL Starter File. Double-humped fission barrier heights are provided 
in the file OBNINSK.DAT.
Recommended double-humped fission barrier parameters are provided in the
file MASLOV.DAT. Recommendations on fission level density calculation
are given in the Chapter 5.2 'Fission Level Density' of the RIPL Handbook.
