MENGONI.readme Gilbert-Cameron level densities by Mengoni and Nakajima (Provided by A.Ignatyuk, 29 October 1997, received from A. Mengoni)
*******************************************************************
Contents -------- This file contains the level density parameter systematics as constructed by the HERMES code [1]. These parameters can be useful for a description of the nuclear level densities at excitation energies above the neutron binding energy. The corresponding formu- las can be found in Ref. [1].
Format ------ Each row contains the following data:
Z : Atomic number of the nucleus, Sym : Element symbol of nucleus, A : Mass number of nucleus, Io : Spin of the ground state for the corresponding target nucleus, P : Parity of the ground state for the corresponding target nucleus, Do : Average resonance spacing in keV, erDo: Uncertainty of Do in keV, a : Level density parameter of the Fermi gas formula at the excitation energy equal to the neutron binding energy in 1/MeV, -/+a: Uncertainties of the level density parameter in 1/MeV, a(*): Asymptotic value of the level density parameter at high excitation energies in 1/MeV, -/+a: Uncertainties of the asymptotic level density parameter in 1/MeV, Esh : Shell correction defining the energy dependence of the level density parameter in MeV,
Sn : Neutron binding energy of compound nucleus in MeV , del : Pairing correction of the excitation energy in MeV, T : Nuclear temperature for the excitation energy equal to the neutron binding energy in MeV, sigma**2 Spin cutoff parameter at this energy,
