OBNINSK.readme Average parameters of the s-wave neutron resonances (Provided by A.V. Ignatyuk, 29 October 1997 revised 6 December 1997) ****************************************************
Contents -------- The initial file of the average resonance parameters evaluated by the Obninsk group was based on the data published in Ref. [86B].
After consideration of the discrepancies between parameters evaluated by different groups, the Obninsk group re-analyzed about 80% of data available. More attention was spent to the limitation of energy intervals on which the resonance parameters were analyzed and the statistical estimation of errors were complemented with some experience guesses about associated methodical errors. As result the new table of the evaluated neutron strength functions and resonance spacings was prepared. These parameters are included into the OBNINSK.DAT file and they are chosen as recommended ones for the RIPL Starter File.
The evaluations of the average radiative widths included into the file differ only to some corrections of misprints from the initial data [86B].
Format ------ Data are written in FORMAT(I4,A3,I4,A4,F7.3,I4,2(E9.2),2(F5.2),2(A4)). Each line includes the following data:
Z : Atomic number of compound nucleus, Sym : Element symbol of compound nucleus, A : Mass number of compound nucleus, Io : Spin of the ground state for target nucleus, Bn : Neutron binding energy of compound nucleus in MeV , Nr : Number of resonances included in the statistical analysis, Do : Average resonance spacing in keV, dDo : Uncertainty of Do in keV, So : s-wave neutron strength function in 10**(-4), dSo : Uncertainty of So in 10**(-4), Ref : Reference to the work in which the analysis was performed, Gam : Average radiative width in meV, dGam: Uncertainty of Gam in meV.
