Coordinated Research Project
Fission product yield data for transmutation of minor actinide nuclear waste
Project Officer: Meinhart Lammer
OBJECTIVES
- There is a serious lack of experimental data, and therefore the overall goal of the CRP was to develop fission yield systematics and nuclear models as a tool for the evaluation of energy-dependent fission yields up to 150 MeV incident neutron energy.
- The originally proposed research objectives and specific tasks were further developed during the CRP, as given in the progress report for 2001, and specific research objectives.
DURATION: 10/1997-11/2002
CRP INITIATION AND EXTENSION
- The CRP proposal was submitted on 25 March 1997 and approved on 30 April 1997.
- A request for the first extension and progress report 2000 was submitted on 5 January 2001, and the extension approved on 16 February 2001.
- A request for a second extension and progress report 2001 was submitted on 29 January 2002, and the extension approved on 4 March 2002.
RESEARCH CO-ORDINATION MEETINGS
- 1st Research Co-ordination Meeting was held in Vienna from 5-7 November 1997.
- 2nd Research Coordination Meeting was held in Vienna from 11-15 October 1999.
- 3rd Research Co-ordination Meeting was held in Vienna from 5-7 November 2001.
