EXFOR compilation of thermal neutron scattering data
Thermal neutron scattering cross section data are important for calculations of reactor cores and spallation target design, safety and economy. At thermal energies, the scattering is affected by the binding of the scattering nucleus in a solid, liquid, or gas material. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the key characteristic of the thermal neutron scattering measurement and evaluation techniques to provide guidelines for compilation of such data in the EXFOR data library.
