Bibliography of experimental data
Two publications were found where cross section data for formation of the metastable 87mY through the 85Rb(a,2n) reaction is reported separately: Levkovskij (1991) and Demeyer et al. (1971). Data in Homma et al. (1980) and Kandil et al. (2007) are given for natRb targets and the cross sections for a reaction on 85Rb were obtained by normalization. The cross-sections and their uncertainties are represented in Fig. All data. The original data by Demeyer et al. (1971) are systematically 30% lower than the values of the other publications we suppose that the published results are in fact for natRb targets. Their data were normalized for natRb. The outlying value at 21.4 MeV of Homma et al. (1980) and the rising values above 40 MeV of Demeyer et al. (1971) (influence of 87Rb) were deselected. The relevant cross section values for fitting are shown in Fig. Selected in comparison with the TENDL-2019 and TENDL-2021 predictions. The Padé functions with 9 parameters were fitted to 57 selected data points with a χ2 = 0.88 and covering the energy range up to 50 MeV as shown in Fig. Recommended. The uncertainties (including 4% systematic uncertainty) range between 7% near the threshold, decrease below 6% in the 22 - 48 MeV domain before rising slightly to 8% at the highest energy.
