The 3287100100016 14 MeV neutrons were produced by a 134 keV deuteron 3287100100017 beam energy and a 200 uA beam current. The generator 3287100100018 uses a solid 3H-Ti target that is 2.65 mg/cm2 thick. 3287100100019 SAMPLE Xenon gas (99.999% purity with natural isotopic 3287100100020 composition) was stored in a stainless-steel sphere 3287100100021 with a 20 mm inner diameter and 1 mm wall thickness. 3287100100022 The gas weight and pressure were 2.3-5.2 g and 3287100100023 120-250 atm. Five of such samples of xenon gas and 10 3287100100024 monitors (20 mm diameter), comprising 99.99% pure 3287100100025 and 0.12 mm thick Nb foil and a 99.999% pure and 0.3 3287100100026 mm thick Al foil, were prepared for irradiation. 3287100100027 METHOD (ACTIV) The samples were irradiated for 2 h. A ZrNbAl- 3287100100028 Xe-AlNbZr stack was mounted at 0, 45, 90, 110, and 3287100100029 135 deg angles relative to the beam. The end of the 3287100100030 neutron production target was 5 cm apart from the 3287100100031 sample sphere center. The samples decay for different 3287100100032 amounts of time (ranging from 55 min to 5 days 3287100100033 depending on the half-life of the daughter nucleus). 3287100100034 DETECTOR (HPGE) The gamma-ray activities of the 123Xe, 125Xe, 3287100100035 127Xe, 129mXe, 131mXe, 130I, 131I, 24Na, 92mNb, and 3287100100036 132I nuclei were measured by the calibrated detector 3287100100037 of GEM-60P HPGe (with the crystal length and diameter 3287100100038 equal to 72.3 and 70.1 mm, respectively). The energy 3287100100039 resolution at 1.332 MeV and a relative efficiency 3287100100040 were equal to 1.69 keV and about 68%. The detector was 3287100100041 calibrated using standard sources of gamma-ray. 3287100100042 (SIBAR) To monitor the neutron flux within the 3287100100043 irradiation, the accompanying alpha-particles were 3287100100044 utilized. An Au-Si surface barrier detector was set 3287100100045 at an angle of 135 deg relative to the beam 3287100100046 direction. The obtained data were adopted for the 3287100100047 correction of the neutron flux deviation. 3287100100048 MONIT-REF (,M.Wagner+,B,PH-DAT,13-5,,1990) 3287100100049 CORRECTION F = fc*fs*fg*fo. fc, fs, fg, and fo denote the 3287100100050 correcting factors repres-enting the coincidence 3287100100051 summing impact of the cascade gamma-rays created by 3287100100052 the nuclides, the self-absorption of the gamma-rays, 3287100100053 the samples counting geometries, and the solid angle 3287100100054 of neutron flux. fs are distributed between 1.072 and 3287100100055 2.014.
