The organic phase was 0.5 M C2725 1 11 thenoyltrifluoroacetone (TFA) in benzene and the C2725 1 12 aqueous phase was 0.05 M HCl. The collection time for C2725 1 13 each experiment was 3 minutes. C2725 1 14 ANALYSIS The cross section for the 248Cm(180,3n) reaction was C2725 1 15 calculated using a modified SPIT code. The peak of C2725 1 16 the excitation function is at 92.5 MeV with a cross C2725 1 17 section estimate of 300 pb. From the cross section C2725 1 18 estimate, the 263Rf production rate is about 2 C2725 1 19 atoms per hour. Folding in the gas jet transport C2725 1 20 yield, chemical yield and detector efficiencies, the C2725 1 21 detection rate would be 1.3 events per hour for SF C2725 1 22 and 0.7 events per hour for alpha decay. C2725 1 23 ERR-ANALYS (DATA-ERR) No details on sources of uncertainties. C2725 1 24 DECAY-DATA (104-RF-263,500.0SEC,SF) Measured by authors as (500 C2725 1 25 +300/-200 sec).
