The beam intensity C3040001 32 and purity were monitored using an ionization chamber C3040001 33 positioned upstream of the AT-TPC, filled with CF4 C3040001 34 gas at 200 Torr. C3040001 35 DETECTOR (TPC,MAGSP) The active volume of the AT-TPC was C3040001 36 filled with 600 Torr of pure deuterium gas. The C3040001 37 detector was installed inside the SOLARIS solenoidal C3040001 38 spectrometer which provides a magnetic field of 3.0 T. C3040001 39 SAMPLE Pure deuterium gas, which has an areal density of C3040001 40 10**20 1/cm2 and equivalent to a 35-mg/cm2 C3040001 41 conventional solid (CD2)n target. C3040001 42 METHOD Kinematics of deuterons scattered off 10Be were C3040001 43 inferred from the point cloud using an algorithm C3040001 44 based on a linear quadratic estimator (Kalman filter), C3040001 45 achieving an average efficiency of approximately C3040001 46 70% in the 7-10 MeV excitation energy range. Protons, C3040001 47 deuterons, and tritons are clearly isolated based on C3040001 48 their Bro values versus their energy losses, where C3040001 49 deuterons from the elastic and inelastic scattering C3040001 50 reactions were selected. C3040001 51 ANALYSIS The measured angular distributions were analyzed C3040001 52 within the coupled channel (CC) formalism using the C3040001 53 code FRESCO. C3040001 54 ERR-ANALYS (ERR-T) The uncertainties of the absolute cross C3040001 55 sections are dominated by the systematic C3040001 56 uncertainties resulting from the beam intensity and C3040001 57 the acceptance of the detector. The former should be C3040001 58 within 10% owing to the good efficiency of the C3040001 59 ionization chamber. The latter was determined to be C3040001 60 less than 5% by a simulation.
