Such subtractions were M0346 1 22 carried out for 1 MeV differences up to 16 MeV and in M0346 1 23 2 MeV steps thereafter. M0346 1 24 CORRECTION Data were corrected for (a) the background and (b) the M0346 1 25 detector efficiency. M0346 1 26 ADD-RES (COMP) The theoretical description of the gamma M0346 1 27 quantum absorption by the whole nucleus at the M0346 1 28 resonance energy was performed. M0346 1 36 COMMENT Photoneutron energy spectra from Ar-40 have been M0346 1 37 measured at bremsstrahlung end-point energies from 13 M0346 1 38 to 23 MeV in 1 MeV steps. The total cross section M0346 1 39 derived from the neutron spectra exhibits a change M0346 1 40 from single particle behavior at about 14 MeV where M0346 1 41 collective effects begin to dominate and neutrons are M0346 1 42 emitted to highly excited states of Ar-39.
