M0597 1 15 COMMENT Photoneutron production cross sections for two M0597 1 16 isotopes, 58Ni and 60Ni, are obtained in the region M0597 1 17 of the giant dipole resonance. They have complicated M0597 1 18 structures and large widths. The integral cross M0597 1 19 section up to 30 MeV is 310 MeV*mb for 58Ni and 620 M0597 1 20 MeV*mb for 60Ni. Total absorption cross sections for M0597 1 21 the isotopes are constructed as the sums of the M0597 1 22 photoneutron and photoproton cross sections. M0597 1 23 Comparison of the cross sections with the calculated M0597 1 24 values, obtained in various models indicate a number M0597 1 25 of essential discrepancies between the theory and M0597 1 26 the experiment.
