Description

Proton Activation Data File (PADF-2) contains cross-section data for the interaction of protons with stable isotopes of most elements from Carbon (C) to Copper (Cu), as well as with Niobium-93 (93Nb) over a proton energy range from the reaction thresholds up to 200 MeV. Additionally, it includes data for stable Tungsten (W) isotopes up to 3 GeV.

The data were evaluated by analyzing available experimental data and performing theoretical calculations using a variety of nuclear reaction models and computational codes, including ALICE/ASH, CEM, PHITS, TALYS-G, and TALYS.

All types of experimental data were utilized in the evaluation, including both independent and cumulative cross-sections for specific target isotopes, as well as for natural isotope mixtures. For reactions lacking experimental data, cross-sections were evaluated through analysis of model-based calculations, with careful consideration given to the reliability and predictive performance of the different models across energy ranges.
